Accessibility
A seat at the table, for everyone.
If anything here — on the website or in the dining room — gets in your way, we want to hear about it and fix it.
What we aim for
We build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard most widely used to judge whether a site is usable by people who are blind or have low vision, who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who navigate without a mouse.
What that means in practice
Our full menu is real text on the page, not a picture or a PDF, so a screen reader can read it aloud and you can enlarge it without it turning blurry. Every photograph carries a written description. You can reach every link and button using only the keyboard, and a clear outline shows where you are. A “skip to content” link lets you jump past the navigation. We check colour contrast against the AA thresholds, and the site reflows cleanly on a phone or when text is enlarged.
We tested every page against WCAG 2.1 AA and WCAG 2.2 AA on 16 September 2026 and found no failures. We re-test whenever we make a significant change.
Where we may fall short
Parts of this site rely on services run by other companies — our email signup form, for instance. We choose these carefully, but we do not control their code. If you hit a problem with one of them, tell us anyway: we would rather know, and we can always take your details another way.
In the restaurant
If you need step-free access, a particular table, help reading the menu, or anything else that would make your visit easier, call ahead or just ask when you arrive. It is never any trouble, and it helps us have things ready for you.
Tell us about a problem
If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use, please contact us and describe what happened and which page you were on. A real person will read it, we will reply, and we will tell you what we are doing about it. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will find another way to get you what you needed.
